Erath Pinot Noir 2014

Editor's Rating
75
On the nose, vanilla oak, campfire, wild cherry and licorice foreshadow a backbone of red fruit on the palate that's rounded out by subtle smoky, leathery notes and a silky vanilla finish. Atypical for a Pinot Noir, the earthy undertones are less prevalent, making for a surprisingly complex experience. This Pinot shows Oregon flexing its muscles with the fickle grape, yielding a nuanced experience in this affordable wine.
